This year, MEREAD launched a trust building workshop. Its objectives are to promote understanding of the “other sides,” to cultivate perception of the narrative from different stand points, to promote understanding of a shared best interest and to draw individuals from negative activism and towards positive peace-building.
We will be working towards establishing a working trust between the individuals, to create a differnet framework for the conflict.
ABOUT US
MEREAD is comprised of undergraduate and law students: Israelis and Jews from the entire political and religious spectrum, Palestinians and Arabs from Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Saudi Arabia, members of organizations such as Seeds of Peace, Students for Justice in Palestine, Yale Friends of Israel, and many more.
We aim not only to raise awareness of the conflict on campus, but also to effect change on a larger scale in the region as well.
